How do we stay centered, peaceful and joyful during challenging times?
Patanjali, one of India’s great sages, compiled the yogic teachings from the masters of his time into the “Yoga Sutras”, a collection of 196 verses (or “sutras”) on the philosophy and practice of yoga.
The ultimate aim of the Yoga Sutras is for practitioners to attain spiritual enlightenment (samadhi) - primarily through contemplation & meditation - but they are also incredible timeless teachings and practical tools that can guide us toward a peaceful and joyful existence and help us navigate the challenges, hardships and uncertainties of life.
During this workshop we will read, contemplate and discuss the most relevant yoga sutras, which teachings we can apply in everyday life to become more resilient, more peaceful and more joyful.
We will also practice traditional yogic meditation techniques that we can take home with us, and use daily to stay centered and to settle in our most natural state of joy.
